About the position

HII’s Mission Technologies division is seeking a results-driven dynamic Product Marketing Lead to lead the creative development and strategic marketing of the division’s portfolio of technology products. This position will be hybrid out of our McLean, VA office. You will partner with HII Communications organization to lead the design and development of the company’s product brand identities and positioning strategies including digital/online campaigns, stakeholder engagement exhibit presentations, PR and advertising campaigns. The Product Marketing Lead will also be responsible for editorial development and review of all product communications content and serve as a brand advisor to a diverse and growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and growth teams to manage and create strategic product brands aligned with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and implement strategic product brand identities aligned with HII’s brand guidelines.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the products’ branding strategy.
  • Support creative development for the division’s internal and external communications program.
  • Manage the products’ web presence and content including the talent acquisition platform.
  • Cultivate and manage partner relationships with third-party creative and advertising agencies.
  • Support the organization’s overall social media strategy and produce the digital editorial calendar.
  • Create focused and relevant content by collaborating with subject matter experts or product owners.
  • Write, edit and proofread all content, verify facts and figures to ensure accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relations with the internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor, analyze, report on platform analytics and campaign metrics.
  • Identify and provide new digital training opportunities for staff in order to build capacity for robust web presence.

Requirements

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • 6+ years communications experience in editorial, change and transformation, digital engagement, and culture communications initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, journalism, or related field.
  • Bold-thinking skills offering different ways to engage internal and external audiences, and drive engagement.
  • Strong writing and proof-reading skills for communications materials.
  • Relationship-builder, influencer and performance manager who collaborates effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience creating digital communications plans and campaigns.
  • Strong metric and analytic skillset; ability to quantify the impact of communication channels and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and lead the efforts of other professionals to effectively meet the company’s needs.
  • Experience identifying complex problems and developing creative solutions.
  • Understand digital and social trends, integrate new methods and features into HII’s digital strategy.
