About The Position

As the Product Marketing/Commercialization Manager supporting our Master Lock brand, you will help bring new security innovations to life by thoughtfully activating product strategy across packaging, messaging, and launch experiences. You will serve as a connective partner across teams, ensuring that product intent is translated into clear, meaningful, and customer-centered materials that reflect the strength and trust associated with Master Lock. A key part of this role involves guiding packaging artwork development from concept through production, working closely with creative, engineering, regulatory, and operations partners to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment. You will help ensure that every detail, from on-pack messaging to visual presentation, reflects the brand’s standards and resonates with both professional (B2B) and consumer (B2C) audiences. This role requires strong organization, care for detail, and the ability to collaborate across functions with confidence and empathy. You will support cross-functional alignment, help navigate competing priorities, and contribute to a commercialization process that feels structured yet flexible. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, commercialization, packaging coordination, or related roles.
  • Experience working closely with creative and design teams on packaging or marketing materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple timelines and collaborating across teams.
  • Comfort working with external creative agencies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build trust across cross-functional partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing; omnichannel experience
  • Experience in consumer durables, hardware, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with structured commercialization processes.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront, Oracle systems, Jira, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate packaging artwork development for Master Lock products from early concept through final production approval.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Engineering, Regulatory, and external agency teams to ensure packaging is accurate, compliant, and aligned with Master Lock brand standards.
  • Support version control, revisions, and cross-functional reviews with strong attention to detail.
  • Help ensure packaging communicates product benefits clearly and thoughtfully for both professional and consumer audiences.
  • Support the execution of go-to-market plans for Master Lock new product launches across B2C and B2B channels.
  • Collaborate with Category and Brand teams to activate positioning through clear, benefit-led messaging.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables to help ensure smooth and timely product introductions.
  • Maintain visibility into project milestones and help keep teams aligned throughout the commercialization process.
  • Translate technical product information into messaging that is accessible, engaging, and audience-focused.
  • Work collaboratively with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop sell sheets, digital content, product videos, and catalog materials that reflect the Master Lock brand voice.
  • Provide thoughtful input and feedback to ensure creative assets remain aligned to product intent and brand standards.
  • Help maintain consistency across packaging, digital platforms, and sales materials.
  • Utilize structured project management tools to organize workflows and support transparency across teams.
  • Identify potential risks or gaps early and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders and help clarify next steps when priorities shift.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance process efficiency and shared understanding across the commercialization lifecycle.

  • Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $60,000 USD - $90,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
