Youll be joining a team in its formative stages and will play a critical role in defining and building our Product Marketing function. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of our product. You will be expected to be our chief advocate for our product and its benefits. Additionally, you will be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new launches.

Responsibilities

Know our product inside and out. Know our customers even better.

Educate our customers, expose them to the breadth of our product, and help drive feature adoption.
*
Develop go-to-market plans, customer segmentation and marketing campaigns from conceptualization through execution.

Help the sales team succeed through education and development of sales tools and collateral.
*
Support development of brand and product positioning and help us bring that positioning to the market.
*
Inform product and marketing strategies through research and understanding of the property management industry and knowledge of Buildium competitors.
*
Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits.
*
Create content (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world.

Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.
*
Speak and present both internally and externally to promote our product.
*
Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.
Qualifications & Traits Desired
*
Past experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management.
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills --- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.
*
Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life. You are at the center of our entire organization, constantly interacting with teammates and prospects.
*
Exceptional writing and editing skills - you need to be able to write clean copy in a tone that is friendly, conversational, and helpful.
*
Comfort with ambiguity and creative freedom - we encourage people to try new things, and you need to be okay with failing at times. Youd rather have a long leash with little hand-holding than having assignments handed to you with rigid oversight.

Solid qualitative and quantitative analytical skills - the more that you can inform your thinking with data the better.

Ability to work in cross-functional teams across the organization, interfacing with marketing, product, customer care, and sales.

BA, but were less concerned with your degree than we are with your experience.

Intellectually curious, friendly, and someone who doesnt take yourself too seriously. In other words, youre someone wed love to have a drink with.

Proficiency in WordPress, Marketo and Salesforce a plus.
