Product Material Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute processes to assess and declare compliance of our products to applicable material regulations for our US/LATAM region.
• Execute defined product material compliance activities while working closely with Product Management, Legal, R&D and Supply Chain Management.
• Execute end-to-end processes for actively managed regulations including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Extended Minerals, TSCA, Prop 65, and PFAS.
• Provide guidance to Product Management, R&D and Sales teams on new material regulations that might impact existing products or New Product Development Projects.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across functions within Division.
• Collaborate with Product Material Compliance Teams in other divisions to develop understanding of each business's direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in compliance programs such as REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS and EU Waste Framework Directive.
• Ability to analyze complex data, and develop evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.
• Strong ability to anticipate future needs of the organization and make decisions in a changing environment.
• Effective communicator through written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Microsoft Office expertise (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
