Product Owner - Data Management

About the position

Our client is seeking a dynamic Product Owner to oversee the roadmap curation, requirements, design, development, test, and launch of an innovative solution for data integration, data management, financial messaging, and operational workflows. Our client is a financial services firm and requires a deep understanding of data-driven solutions tailored to meet the financial services industry needs. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to build the product from scratch, develop a comprehensive product roadmap, and establish detailed, high-quality requirements. Must understand the market and assess against internal capabilities to figure out what to build as a Product Owner.

• Data Quality Management: Ensures data accuracy and consistency with strategies designed to uphold high data quality standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Advanced Data Modeling: Supports efficient and comprehensive data structures through advanced data modeling capabilities.
• Rules-Based Exception Processing: Features rules-based exception processing to optimize workflow efficiency and address anomalies effectively.
• Multi-Provider Data Aggregation and Mapping: Enables seamless aggregation and mapping of data from multiple providers for enhanced usability and integration.
• Financial Messaging: Facilitates efficient communication and data exchange within the financial industry, ensuring reliability and precision.
• Operational Workflow Management: Provides tools to optimize workflows, allowing users to effectively manage tasks and processes related to data management and financial operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or related role.
• Strong understanding of data connectivity, data management, financial messaging, and operational workflows.
• Experience with oversight and control mechanisms, data analytics, and data quality management.
• Expertise in advanced data modeling, rules-based exception processing, and multi-provider data aggregation.
• Proven track record of building products from scratch and developing actionable product roadmaps.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
