Product Owner

About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, on-site, and is a contract position, renewed semi-annually. The Product Owner will collaborate with cross-functional teams and development studios to deliver high-quality digital products that enhance the guest and employee experience across all touch points. Must be local to Miramar FL.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers to develop and prioritize technical requirements for inventory control upgrades on 26 builds.
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop technical specifications for new products and features.
• Ensure that technical requirements are aligned with overall product strategy and business goals.
• Define and prioritize user stories and acceptance criteria for product features.
• Communicate technical requirements and priorities to development teams and other stakeholders.
• Manage the product backlog and ensure that it is kept up-to-date.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint demos.
• Monitor data configuration ensuring that data processed and accessed in the most efficient way.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience managing agile development lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the cruise industry and shipboard systems is a plus.
