Product Repair/Mod Tech - Structures (Associate Level)

About the position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Product Repair/Modification Technicians – Structures to assist our team at Boeing Jacksonville (COBJAX) in Jacksonville, Florida. The position involves assembling aircraft structures and associated components with the aid of various tools and resources, including jigs and fixtures, precision measuring instruments, and common hand tools. Technicians will be responsible for replacing ribs, stiffeners, and stringers in skinned assemblies, operating equipment such as brakes and grinders, and performing close tolerance assembly operations. The role also includes documenting maintenance and repair actions, ordering parts, and training newer mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structures and associated components using jigs and fixtures.
• Setup and use precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators and micrometers.
• Replace ribs, stiffeners, and stringers in skinned assemblies according to blueprints.
• Operate equipment such as brakes, grinders, band saws, and presses.
• Identify and treat corrosion, fabricate parts for repairs, and determine rivet patterns.
• Document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, and parts requests.
• Order parts, tools, and materials as required.
• Train and assist newer structures mechanics.
• Communicate using basic computer systems including Microsoft Office.
• Perform close tolerance assembly operations with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 2+ years of performing aircraft structural and mechanical work.
• 2+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
