Job Title Product Strategy – Sr Advisor I (Chief of Staff) What does a successful Product Strategy – Sr. Advisor I (Chief of Staff) do at Fiserv? Join Fiserv’s Digital Payments team in a high-visibility staff appointment supporting senior leadership. You’ll convert broad strategic prompts into actionable plans, drive cross‑functional execution at pace, and help shape the roadmap for digital payments capabilities (APIs, card and ACH rails, tokenization, payer/payee experiences, merchant and issuer solutions). This is not a lifelong strategy role—it’s a launchpad toward leading a product, portfolio, or P&L. We’re scaling next‑gen digital payments. To move fast and with precision, we need a strategic operator: someone who can think deeply, then build the plan, align stakeholders, and own delivery. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and client teams to accelerate outcomes that deliver measurable value for our clients and partners. This role works directly with senior Digital Payments leadership as an extension of the leadership team and is best suited for high‑performing consultants earlier in their careers who are seeking accelerated ownership and exposure.

Requirements

  • ~3 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, or equivalent strategy/ops roles—ideally with financial services or payments exposure.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Structured problem solving and executive‑ready communications.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building financial models and business cases that lead to clear decisions.
  • Comfortable operating at pace with incomplete information; strong ownership and follow‑through.
  • Experience engaging senior leaders and presenting recommendations for decision.
  • MBA or advanced degree

Nice To Haves

  • Military-affiliated applicants encouraged to apply (Veterans, Military Spouses, Guard/Reservists).
  • Experience in pricing strategies, partner ecosystems, or commercial enablement.
  • Hands-on experience running pilots, experiments, or customer discovery.
  • Exposure to merchant, issuer, or enterprise payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Turn executive prompts into action: Take high-level direction (e.g., “we should be doing more in X”) and independently define analyses, options, and an execution plan—then drive to results.
  • Shape product strategy & roadmaps: Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs; highlight white space and prioritize bets across APIs, rails, tokenization, and experiences.
  • Quantify and recommend: Build business cases, financial models, and clear recommendations—including revenue, cost, risk, and adoption assumptions.
  • Drive delivery with accountability: Partner with product managers and engineering to define scope, success metrics, and release plans; track KPIs and iterate to strengthen product‑market fit.
  • Enable commercialization: Coordinate with sales, marketing, and client success on pricing, packaging, launch readiness, and adoption playbooks.
  • Run pilots and proofs of concept: Stand up client-facing pilots; collect feedback, de‑risk assumptions, and inform go/no‑go decisions.
  • Create operating rhythm & governance: Facilitate roadmap reviews, exec updates, and cross‑functional alignment; escalate and unblock with urgency.
  • Embed compliance & risk early: Engage legal, compliance, and operations to ensure scalable, compliant decisions.
  • Institutionalize what works: Build templates, frameworks, and repeatable mechanisms for prioritization, investment decisions, and go‑to‑market execution.
