Resumes without machining experience will not be considered. Be the Expert Behind the Experience Are you energized by helping other machinists succeed? Do you enjoy troubleshooting setups, fixturing, and machining challenges—and explaining those solutions clearly to others? As a Product Support Specialist (CNC Machining), you’ll be the first point of contact for machinists, engineers, and manufacturing partners who rely on 5th Axis products every day. You’ll combine your real-world CNC machining experience with customer-first service to provide technical guidance, support product selection, and ensure every interaction reflects the 5th Axis standard of excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a CNC operator, setup machinist, or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers, workholding, and zero-point systems.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms (Epicor and Salesforce a plus).
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience as an operator, setup machinist, applications technician, or similar role
  • Working knowledge of 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis machining centers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting or collaborating with customers, engineers, or production teams
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms (Epicor and Salesforce a plus)
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical degree, certificate, or machining apprenticeship preferred
  • Practical experience with workholding, fixturing, or zero-point systems
  • Ability to clearly explain machining concepts and solutions to other machinists

Responsibilities

  • Support machinists by applying your own machining experience to real shop-floor challenges
  • Provide hands-on technical support for workholding systems, zero-point solutions, and related accessories
  • Troubleshoot issues related to fixturing, clamping, alignment, repeatability, and setup
  • Discuss applications involving 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining
  • Escalate complex technical cases to engineering with clear, actionable detail
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other platforms with professionalism and confidence
  • Assist with order entry, RMAs, shipping coordination, and replacement parts
  • Document customer interactions, issues, and solutions in CRM and ERP systems (Epicor, Salesforce preferred)
  • Deliver product training and machining-related guidance to customers
  • Share customer and shop-floor feedback with internal teams to drive continuous product and service improvements
