Performs limited electronic, electromechanical, mechanical and support production assembly and functions of a repetitive nature to build and assemble routine units. Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations in assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, standard routine troubleshooting and manufacturing of transducers. Has knowledge of the various build processes within the department. Efficiently completes daily tasks according to the standard times without sacrificing the quality of the product. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Assemble components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures. Assembly may involve miniature components under a microscope. Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product. Utilize small hand tools calibrated instruments, measurement equipment microscopes and custom fixtures tools and assembly aids. Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements daily and on an ongoing basis. Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality work in progress test results labor and special projects. Strictly adhere to general safety rules manufacturing procedures company policies and procedures. Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA regulations. Train other assemblers on a wide range of tasks. Perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation. Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings and reworks parts to incorporate engineering changes. Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, tests units and corrects malfunctions as required. Assemble and install various electrical or electronic components where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, diagrams, verbal instructions, or established operations practices. Use a wide variety of specialized hand tools: solder irons, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy to perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly. Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed to assemble various electronic components.
