About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Production Control Planner that would plan, prepare, issue and control aftermarket schedules and help plan material for production of rotables, ongoing repairs, and overhaul of fielded products. Within this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with material planners in regard to material requirements, which would ensure a controlled flow of approved product, in time to meet customer requirements and contractual demands. This job will require you to advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems. You will need to work closely with both Quality - to ensure that any non-conforming product is controlled; and with Customer Service representatives - to ensure customer satisfaction and that product is shipped according to contractual commitments. The position would require you to work under general supervision and help as needed to develop solutions for problems and/or recovery plans as they arise. The position would require equal time performing stationary office work and locating/tracking products on the manufacturing floor. The ability to communicate and exchange written and verbal information clearly is key.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or 4 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain professional and effective relationships with internal/external customers

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Material planning, Forecasting, MRP experience a Plus
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Aftermarket Experience
  • Data Analysis Skills
  • Knowledge of engineering changes
