About The Position

As a Production Control Coordinator reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for various functions in the Production Control department including preparing and distributing the daily work order issuance, coordinating shipping and receiving of product, maintaining open work order reports, customer service representative, and reviewing manufacturing orders for completeness. This position works closely with Production Supervisors to ensure consistent product flow prioritization across all This role is responsible for: Manage scheduling of production exceptions and changes, prototype parts, and experimental parts to prioritize and expedite most critical items, while maintaining acceptable flow of remaining items. Communicates this information to Supervisors to facilitate the process. Manage inventory interactions/transactions electronically. Communicate scheduling to Production Supervisors for planning purposes. Maintain production work orders in system. Review orders in system to determine when completed, closes all completed work order documents on a daily basis. Run daily and monthly reporting. Enter new orders from external customers and new part numbers for internal customers. Check stock slip reports against electronic records and investigate any discrepancies. Enter daily receivers for production raw materials into SAP system. Organize shipping services for on time deliveries Manage Customer Service duties when needed including Billing, Packing Slips, Customer Requirements. Maintain departmental documents and inventory review. Manage shipping and receiving needs, customer calls and coordinates air shipments. Verify shipping inventory record accuracy including periodic cycle counting. Manage raw material, steel and alloy and orders lead time and order requirements. Reconciles finish orders to close WIP in system. Maintain Expedite expense records and required tracking metrics to show plant progress towards goal. Prepare and distribute work orders for shop floor. Prepare interplant Shipping Packing Slips and Invoices. Continuous improvement initiatives where applicable.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of materials-related experience or manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Adept with numerical data entry and data accuracy and perform batching and checking

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
