Immediately escalate any deviations to Management & support Materials Team in day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, post-secondary program an asset
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience working in a shipping / production environment
  • Familiarity with automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer shipping procedures and portals
  • Experience with MRP software preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft products
  • Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EPICOR CMS software
  • Experience gained working inside Magna
  • Knowledge of Ford DDL / SDS / SIMS systems and related procedures
  • Knowledge of Chrysler SMART / DRIVE systems and related procedures
  • Knowledge of GM Supply Covisint systems and related procedures

Responsibilities

  • To process all EDI releases and manual releases
  • To plan and control shipments
  • Monitoring of customer inventory system queries in a timely manner (if applicable) or providing backup to do this (requires complete familiarity with Ford DDL, Chrysler SMART, Honda systems)
  • Customer delivery performance 99%
  • Responsible for all transportation, logistics and premium freight for customer base
  • Develop customer relationships and provide Best-in-Class service
  • Maintain daily inventory and cycle count adjustment
  • Daily loading of releases, into the MRP software
  • Monitor customer releases daily. Investigate variances & notify the team of any significant changes in customer demand
  • Maintain and arrange, all routing instructions, routers and expedites, as required
  • Maintain MRP data integrity
  • Maintain production control contact with all assigned customers, as required
  • Departmental Inventory/Reduction/Accuracy targets
  • Set/Verify schedules for equipment
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered as required
  • Create work instructions for daily, monthly, yearly responsibilities and be able to cross-train as required
  • Ensure schedules/reminders are in place to complete critical monthly & yearly tasks
  • TS16949 awareness and adherence
  • ISO14001 awareness and adherence
