About The Position

Due to our exponential growth we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Control Scheduler. The Production Control Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and planning the production schedule to ensure timely and efficient compounding of medications across multiple locations to meet sales demand, while ensuring minimal loss of expired products. This role involves creating a production plan utilizing data, collaborating with buyers, sales, quality, and other staff, optimizing production processes, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is a critical role to facilitate centralized production planning across Strive’s enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
  • High proficiency in Excel with an ability to understand and write formulas to facilitate forecasting and analytics is critical and required.
  • Experience in designing, developing and implementing production planning utilizing a spreadsheet, and production planning software including ERP’s and MRP’s.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing cGMP setting.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting different models, including build to stock, build to order, dynamically adapting the production plan for expiration of raw goods and/or finished goods.
  • Cross departmental and multi-site collaboration proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply chain certification [CPIM, CSCP, Supply Chain Planning Certification, etc.] is a plus.
  • Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
  • Sterile and or non-sterile processing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, patient needs, and inventory levels.
  • Schedule non-production activities: planned maintenance, equipment certifications, staff certifications, cleaning, training, etc.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and production issues to minimize delays.
  • Continuously assess and develop the production planning capabilities, both systemically and procedurally.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of production activities, including batch records.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for production planning and scheduling.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with department leaders, buyers/material planners, operations/production labs, quality assurance, sales, and other departments as required to facilitate effective production planning to meet all order demands and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate production status, potential delays, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to staff on production planning procedures.
  • Develop and implement triggers for communication, and a communication plan to ensure that all departments are informed of anything affecting them, or Strive’s customers.
  • Reporting, Analysis and Communication:
  • Develop, track and report KPI's related to production efficiency.
  • Generate regular reports on production metrics, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze production data and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Build and implement best practices for data inputs, production planning, collaboration and communication, and data analytics to ensure consistency across all sites.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to streamline processes and reduce waste
