About The Position

AKJ Chemicals is looking for an internal candidate with Contractor Certified Person Endorsement for our Production Lead vacancy. Production Leads must be self-directed, and safety focused. AKJ Production Lead will manage a crew of Production Technicians (PTs) across the north mines and Narm on a rotational schedule.

Requirements

Experienced AKJ Chemicals employee with satisfactory performance in current role.
Strong commitment to safety and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and self-direction.
Proficiency in using iAuditor, BambooHR, and MS Office

Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance: Lead by example, adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
Conduct Safety Inspections and reports using iAuditor.
Report safety concerns and incidents immediately.
Complete training on all Narm and North sites and systems if not already trained.
Production Crew Supervision: Coordinate train lineups and shift changes, ensuring PTs are informed and assigned appropriately.
Maintain communication with PTs, mine personnel, and Watco about train loading.
Document production technicians shift times and locations.
Report beginning-of-shift and end-of-shift tank levels and complete shift reports.
Ensure coverage for callouts and perform housekeeping duties.
Travel between mine sites for inspections and personnel check-ins.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting maintenance issues.
Report maintenance issues and create action items in iAuditor.
Leadership and Training: Evaluate production technicians’ performance, provide feedback, and conduct quarterly assessments.
Train new PTs and complete Site-Specific Training Sheets.
Communicate effectively with management and resolve conflicts proactively.
