Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified, innovative production engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, the candidate will be supporting new work coming into Operations and will be creating manufacturing packages to produce high-quality products. The candidate will be working with HVAC systems and components including but not limited to: enthalpy & sensible plate heat exchangers, energy recovery wheels, gas and electric heaters, hot water coils, cold water coils, DX coils, filter racks, control dampers, fan array systems, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Solidworks experience
  • 2D CAD experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to small details
  • Must work well in a team setting, and have great verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Efficient with time management
  • Critical thinker / Problem Solver
  • Good attitude and motivated personality are key in this role
  • Solution focused mindset when faced with production challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the commercial HVAC industry
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Project management and project ownership from job release to job completion
  • Purchasing components and vendor management
  • Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed
  • Creating manufacturing packages including shop drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Providing shop/Manufacturing support
  • Create engineering solutions for sheet metal design optimization
  • Participate and/or lead Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Support sales team with design review to ensure successful installation
