General SummaryPerform engineering functions and responsibilities, in support of production, for the entire assembly shop, including Trim, Door, Final and Chassis areas, as well as, connected areas such as the Wheel Alignment, Off Line Test, Shower, Repair and Logistic Area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, buy off and support installation of equipment required for production. Develop training materials and plans for team members in support of Group Leaders. Support production lines and associated team members. Perform line balance activities for new model, take up/down. Support a continuous improvement program to ensure corporate success. Plan/design and implement tools, production aids, assist devices, etc. that are required for production. Evaluate, plan and implement new model launches including equipment, tooling, process sheets, and work instructions. Lead problem solving activities in the production environment to ensure quality products including development of short/long term countermeasures. Develop, implement, and follow countermeasures on annual plan in support of corporate goals/targets. Analyze trend data to develop, implement, and follow-up with countermeasures to existing production concerns using available indicators. Develop, implement and follow-up a proactive ergonomics program in production.
