About The Position

The Cross Dock II is required to abide by the rules for the Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) which includes interacting with inbound/outbound drivers, performing the seven-point inspection form for containers/trailers and securing shipments within our yard. They follow internal procedures to unload/load incoming and outgoing trailers. While unloading, they are required to sort, palletize and move product using powered equipment. This position is required to use a Radio Frequency (RF) unit in combination with and Internal Operating systems to track product and perform departmental error resolution functions within High Jump.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of prior lift operator experience
  • Complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines
  • Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information
  • Basic math skills in counting and quantity
  • Demonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other production functions as needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn Internal Operating System and operate Radio Frequency (RF) unit
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Comprehend verbal and written instructions
  • Essential days or overtime may be required

Responsibilities

  • Unload and load product by following standard operating procedures; operating powered lift equipment to move product and materials as needed.
  • Inspect assigned equipment daily at start of shift.
  • Generate reports to support error resolution functions in the receiving and cross dock processes.
  • Use an RF unit to track all movement of product entering and leaving building by scanning designated labels and accurately verify shipments.
  • Address any discrepancies and/or damage to shipment using internal operating system.
  • Secure partial and full outbound loads awaiting completion.
  • Release outbound shipments following established security procedures.
  • Receive and verify all LTL (less than truck load) shipments.
  • Responsible for checking out equipment and returning in same condition on a daily basis.
  • Follow C-TPAT procedures as required.
