Production Internship
About The Position
The Production Internship at Alamo Structural Steel offers a hands-on introduction to the structural steel fabrication industry. Over the course of internship, interns will gain exposure to shop operations including material handling, fabrication, welding support, quality control, and workflow coordination. This program is designed to provide a foundational understanding of how raw steel is transformed into finished structural components used in commercial and industrial construction projects. Interns will work alongside experienced team members to learn shop safety standards, equipment operation, production processes, and the importance of teamwork in meeting project deadlines. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in manufacturing, welding, or construction careers who are eager to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Industrial Technology, or a related field or enrolled in a trade or workforce development program.
Nice To Haves
- Previous shop, manufacturing, or construction experience is a plus but not required.
