Tires keep the world moving. As tires turn, goods are delivered, people are transported, and plans are executed. But what happens when they are worn out and stop turning? Worldwide, more than 7 million tires are scrapped every day. In many parts of the world, they become a waste problem, as they are left to degrade in landfill sites – or are incinerated, emitting large amounts of CO2. At Genan, we have turned the tire waste problem into a green opportunity. We recycle end-of-life tires (ELT) for reuse in a variety of ways. Every day, we can recycle up to 150,000 tires and reduce CO2 emission to the atmosphere by 280,000 MT a year – that’s the equivalent of what 100,000 diesel cars emit in one year. Learn More at genan.com Starting pay is at $18.69 an hour, we go by a pay ladder, with certain steps/skills of the plant learned there is a compensation structure. Overtime at 1.5 times wage. Quarterly bonus based on meeting department goals. Wage is skills based and increases with the skills you gain in different operational areas. After 30 days of employment: Genan will provide all uniforms and the cleaning of those uniforms At the first of the month following 30 days of employment: Genan provides Medical, Dental and Vision coverage paid at 100% by the company for the employee After 90 days of employment: You will be eligible to participate in the Genan 401k plan, in which the company contributes up to 3%. Life insurance is provided at no cost to you at 1x your annual salary with a $50,000 max Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability will be provided and paid 100% by Genan You begin earning PTO (Paid Time Off) the 1 st of the month following 90 days of employment. It is accrued on a bi-weekly basis with a total accrual of 15 days for the first year. Pro-rated according to your start date. You may elect additional life insurance and Critical Injury insurance at your own expense for you and your dependents. Prescription Safety Glasses and protective footwear are also reimbursed at set amounts annually and necessary PPE provided by Genan

Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to follow company operating procedures, safety rules and ISO requirements.
Understanding of production procedures and processes
Ability to read and understand written operating instructions and work order requirements.
Ability to operate all department equipment safely
Ability to drive a forklift and previous certification
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills – Ability to identify, troubleshoot and communicate with management
Mechanical Aptitude
Attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment and also independently with little direct supervision within the parameters of instruction, processes, rules, safety procedures and accepted practices.

High school or Equivalent
Previous experience as an Operator in manufacturing environment (2 years minimum)
Forklift Operation (2 Years)
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment (2 years minimum)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven history of punctuality and reliability
Work authorization required

Cable Truck Operation a plus

Responsibilities

Operate and understand functionality of shredders, granulators, mills, screening and vibration machines
Understand the production flow of materials
Assist with plant change overs
Monitor and adjust equipment to meet product specifications
Troubleshoot minor issues with equipment to maintain operation
Report any operating or mechanical faults or issues to supervisor or company reporting system
Ensure production processes and machinery are maintained in good, safe efficient working condition.
Perform regular equipment maintenance procedures to ensure production capacity and quality.
Conduct quality control checks
Operate fork lift to move product in preparation for processing and after
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
Understand and follow all established safety, health, quality, procedures and practices.
Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
