About The Position
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily food production operations, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. This role supports the Production Supervisor by leading team members, coordinating workflow, and meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production team members during assigned shifts
- Ensure daily production goals and deadlines are met
- Monitor food preparation, packaging, and labeling for quality and accuracy
- Enforce food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, sanitation procedures)
- Train and coach employees on proper equipment use and safety protocols
- Assign tasks and monitor workflow to maximize efficiency
- Conduct line checks and ensure proper product rotation (FIFO/FEFO)
- Report production issues, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
