Our production facility teams work together to meet the demands of this growing industry. We have an immediate opening for a Line Operator at our Hudson, OH location! Starting pay is $22.00/hr. Requirements

High school diploma or GED is required. Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Works overtime as needed.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and standard practices. Must be able to exercise good judgement to choose prescribed alternatives. Requires initiative.
Conformity to standard safety practices and precautions necessary to ensure safety to others.
Workflow is controlled by constant pressure for completion. Individual has a fair amount of control over pace of work to meet deadlines.
May direct and train others on occasion.
Works with average weight materials. Operation of machines may require bending or stooping. Considerable standing and walking. Depending on speed of equipment, may require above average effort.
May require high degree of manual dexterity, concentration and speed. Frequent exposure to one or more disagreeable elements.
Occasionally required to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs. A high level of activity and stress is present.

Responsibilities

Operates all assigned machinery as directed, while following safe operating procedures.
Assembles, fabricates and packages all products under the direction of the Site Lead or Operations Manager.
Sorts, inspects, labels and marks products as required to ensure high quality standards. Notifies Site Lead or Operations Manager if product does not meet required standards.
Checks assigned machinery daily for malfunctions and informs Site Lead or Operations Manager of any problems or safety concerns.
Maintains high speed, as needed, in order to meet daily production schedules.
Removes all scrap material from assigned work areas and follows proper disposal protocol.
Completes all necessary records and reports as assigned.
Maintains clean and safe working area according to the established safety procedures.
Can be assigned to other departments or locations, as production requires.
Will act as a backup to the Site Lead as needed; therefore, must be able to operate all equipment and follow all production and safety procedures.
Participates in and supports Smithers-Oasis continuous improvement activities.
Supports and leads by example the Core Values of the organization.
Performs any other duties as required.
