About The Position

The position of Production Manager - Landscape Enhancements is an essential part of the operation of DLL. While this position is considered a leadership position, it also requires hands-on work and is a customer service position because of interactions with our customers. Reporting Relationships The Production Manager - Landscape Enhancements reports to the Direct of Operations. The Director of Operations will provide training, direction, and support to the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE GREEN INDUSTRY AND/OR LANDSCAPE EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement
  • A valid Ohio Driver’s License and be insurable by DLL’s vehicle insurance provider
  • Four plus years of experience in all aspects of landscaping and snow operations
  • Ability to stand and/or walk long distances and work continuously for up to 2 hours at one time to complete tasks, assist customers and other employees
  • Ability to work in severe temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information
  • Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position
  • Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work
  • Leader who works well with others, organized, great attention to detail and uses effective time management skills
  • Professional, clear, specific and explicit communications, both written and verbally
  • Effective time management skills with Can Do Attitude: Positive, Helpful and Energetic
  • Understand attention to detail, time management, critical thinking- good decisions

  • Meet or exceed Crew Labor Productivity Goal each week
  • Meet or exceed overtime goals
  • No return trips to client sites for poor work quality

Responsibilities

  • Schedule Work Crews to maximize productivity and company profitability
  • Be responsible for the productivity of each team member.
  • Give job-specific directions to their team and follow-up to ensure all jobs are completed to company standards and customer expectations.
  • Teach, manage, direct and mentor each member assigned to their crew. Give quality and timely feedback on work performed
  • Train Crew on proper use of all company equipment. This includes safe usage as well as methods to reduce wear and tear and thus avoid unnecessary maintenance and repairs
  • Training and certification of new hires and experienced Crew members
  • Provide immediate feedback to crew on job performance and quality of work performed
  • Execute company disciplinary program in a fair and timely manner
  • Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for all crew members
  • Answer questions of the Crew regarding any work being done
  • Communicate workload changes to Crew to ensure productivity on all shifts
  • Conduct site inspections daily to ensure proper job completion and customer satisfaction
