About The Position

Unette is looking for a dynamic Production Manager with experience in the pharma space. Unette is a company with a long history of packaging some of the most well known products found on shelves today. The Production Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of the manufacturing process. In addition, the Production Manager must supervise all personnel and operations in the Production Department to ensure quality product in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in production, warehouse, or related supply chain function, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations.
  • Ensure that the production schedule is followed, and the company consistently produces quality products.
  • Supervise all personnel and operations in the department by demonstrating leadership and hands-on technical support.
  • Motivate and provide feedback and review worker performance.
  • Minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, and materials.
  • Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
  • Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports the company's strategic initiatives.
  • Work with other department managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Maintain individual skills by keeping up to date with the latest production and management concepts.
  • Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving.
  • Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all employees' positive involvement with opportunity for input and action.
  • Direct departmental activities providing assurance of safety, health, and compliance with OSHA and FDA rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that HR policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed and documented.
  • Ensure cGMP practices and requirements are carried out and maintained.
  • Liaise between all departments of the company (i.e. Quality, Sales, Logistics, etc.).
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work environment.
  • Ensures timely completion of work.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper PPE and Safety procedures are followed.
