Since 1976, TekniPlex Healthcare, located in Clayton, NC, has been producing medical tubing for a wide range of medical device applications including IV therapy, respiratory, dialysis, anesthesia, diagnostic and surgical equipment. We are actively recruiting for individuals who have a passion for producing a quality product that saves thousands of lives every day. 1st Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection) Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm plus overtime as needed 2nd Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection) Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. plus overtime as needed 3rd Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection) Sunday – Thursday 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. plus overtime as needed Pay for this position is $22 an hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete timecards and work orders.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and package product in compliance with customer and quality specifications.
  • Perform setup, changeover and initial line clearance for assigned production line.
  • Inspect product for defects and deviations using measuring devices (i.e. dial caliper, gauges, micrometer, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to maintain complete and accurate production records.
