Position Summary Work in a team environment serving as Production Operator in a dynamic industrial distribution business. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and two years related warehouse, distribution or logistical experience.
Experience operating forklifts
Must be able to communicate detailed and/or important instructions, including safety instructions, to other workers accurately, loudly and/or quickly.
Basic mathematical skills required. Must be able to count and measure accurately and record the results.

Responsibilities

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from Receiving or Production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
Uses computer and/or bar code scanner to enter records.
Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Drives vehicles to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
Prepares parcels for mailing.
Maintains inventory records.
All other duties as assigned.
Able to process a cut order to include the following: perform actual physical cutting of pipe, generate stencil and apply to cut piece and drop, maintain the order in the operating system.
Perform routine maintenance on the saws to include but not limited to the following: greasing, checking of all fluids, leveling of rollers.
Capable of training others to proficiency on levels 1 and 2.
