About The Position

EFTEC North America is seeking a Production Planner to support daily production scheduling and batch execution in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for converting customer demand into an achievable production plan while considering material availability, inventory levels, transit times, plant capacity, and customer delivery requirements. The Production Planner will manage the full lifecycle of batch cards, coordinate closely with Customer Service and Production, and help ensure the plant produces the right material at the right time to meet customer demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required; chemical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as QAD, SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory control, and customer demand fulfillment
  • Strong Excel and system skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in batch manufacturing or chemical operations
  • Knowledge of lot control, shelf-life management, and traceability requirements
  • Experience supporting automotive or other customer-driven manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory, material availability, and plant capacity
  • Manage the full lifecycle of batch cards, including creation, release, tracking, reconciliation, and closure
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to align production output with customer requirements and shipping timelines
  • Plan production while considering transit times, raw material availability, finished goods inventory, shelf life, and operational constraints, planned maintenance
  • Work with Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Logistics, and Production to resolve shortages, schedule conflicts, and supply risks
  • Monitor open orders, past due requirements, and schedule changes, and adjust priorities as needed
  • Maintain accurate planning transactions and system integrity in ERP/MRP systems such as QAD or SAP
  • Support lot traceability, inventory accuracy, and documentation control in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Communicate risks proactively and escalate issues impacting service, production, or inventory
  • Support continuous improvement in planning processes, batch card control, and schedule adherence
