About The Position

The manufacturing production planner is responsible for managing smooth and efficient production by planning, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of the production process, from raw materials to finished goods. To successfully plan inventory, schedule manufacturing orders, and coordinate the flow of work and materials. Overall meeting delivery expectations of forecasted and actual sales while minimizing inventory levels. The planner will respond to demand changes in our planning systems, ensuring accuracy of customer needs and inventory records. Managing inventory levels & ensure that sufficient materials are available to meet production needs. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, using planning acumen and oversight to implement changes to optimize efficiency. Pursue cost saving methodology. Work with warehousing and shipping leadership to coordinate the flow of materials. Identify and address potential inventory issues, such as shortages or excess. Work with other departments leaders and staff to ensure that production plans align with company goals. Develop and manage production / inventory plans to support both material and finished good requirements Coordinate with Purchasing for availability of raw materials. Coordinate material movement between vendors, warehouse and the production floor Communicate production schedules and updates to relevant stakeholders. Release production orders based on material requirements planning and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle. Collaborate with production supervisors and workers to ensure that production activities are completed on time and within budget. Monitor and maintain current inventory levels. Resolve production issues related to on time delivery, quality, and scrap. Resolve production problems, such as equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality issues. Function in a precise, professional, and responsive manner with a focus on mutual resolution. Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans. Assist in the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the master production schedule. Review, familiarize, and understand existing BOM structure as well as the physical products.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in manufacturing production planning, inventory control or materials planning role and ERP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Able to express ideas and needs effectively with upper management.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, organized, and able to handle multiple projects.
