Production Planning and Purchasing Agent
About The Position
The Production Planning and Purchasing Agent plays a critical role in ensuring IMC’s production operations run efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules based on demand, maintaining accurate inventory and production records, and purchasing components and consumables from approved vendors. The role also supports Operations, Sales, and Marketing by maintaining up‑to‑date item details and product specifications. This is an opportunity to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and directly contribute to operational success.
Requirements
- Experience in production planning, purchasing, supply chain, or related manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Proficiency with inventory management or ERP systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Familiarity with manufacturing, materials planning, or vendor management preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Highly organized and able to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset
- High level of integrity and professionalism

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Operations and Sales to schedule production that aligns with demand forecasts and customer requirements
- Records production activity and updates production plans based on real‑time inventory and completed output
- Maintains accurate and timely inventory data to support planning and purchasing decisions
- Purchases components, raw materials, and consumables from approved vendors to ensure uninterrupted production
- Tracks purchase orders, delivery status, and vendor performance, resolving discrepancies or delays as needed
- Maintains detailed item information, specifications, and product data for Operations, Sales, and Marketing
- Supports continuous improvement efforts related to production planning, purchasing processes, and inventory control
- Communicates production changes and material needs to cross‑functional teams in a timely manner
- Assists in forecasting material requirements based on production plans and historical usage
