About The Position

This leadership role drives the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices across the Valley Forge portfolio. The leader ensures the factory successfully transitions from development to full-rate production while growing site manufacturing and test capabilities, expanding site capacity, and delivering on production readiness goals. The role supports Lockheed Martin’s mission to advance aerospace and defense solutions while delivering high-quality products to our customers. This position directly contributes to achieving full-rate production readiness and ongoing operational excellence across the Valley Forge portfolio.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, 6S, or Continuous Improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or test environment.
• Experience identifying and expanding site capabilities and long-term production capacity to meet full-rate production and future customer requirements.
• Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional peers and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and implement Continuous Improvement projects focused on reducing waste, optimizing layout/flow, and growing capability and capacity to support the site’s contractual Production Readiness milestones.
• Organize, assign, and oversee project staff to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Recruit, select, train, and develop team members, including managing performance, work assignments, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, engineering, and scheduling challenges.
• Guide and influence peers and stakeholders to achieve operational improvements.
