About The Position

Production Scheduler to work in an office setting for a Manufacturing company. Position will schedule production jobs, schedule employee work shifts, order parts and materials, and work/communicate with customers and employees to manage production expectations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in work/job scheduling
  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Extensive phone and emailing required daily
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have good MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of Production software systems: Spreadsheet Software Inventory Software Manufacturing software (Job Boss a plus)
  • Label creation software
  • Experience with Order processing systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, company correspondences and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in a one on one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees
  • Ability to write reports, and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer, and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret commend financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquires or complaints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Plex software is a plus.
  • Manufacturing software (Job Boss a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule jobs for purchase orders or assigned due dates
  • Check material and component availability for orders
  • Communicate with production management for machine availability
  • Review / complete customer requests and questions
  • Organize company workflows
  • Review delivery schedules weekly
  • Communicate demands to production team
  • Communicate with purchasing and / or production if supplies are low or insufficient
  • Review Material receipts
  • Review customer website for upcoming demand versus production
  • Coordinate with shipping to schedule pickups and share information
  • Prepare for customer meetings with information about delivery, status, and updates
  • Between 1 and 6 meetings per day
  • After customer meetings, communicate with engineering, production, outside services, quality, purchasing, shipping as needed
  • Answer customer calls
  • Work with engineering on process routings
  • Work with quality to complete checks and / or rework
  • Work with purchasing to get materials needed
  • Work with production on schedules / capacity
  • Communicate with shipping about product coming and when
  • Communicate with drivers about pickups and deliveries
  • Order containers
  • Work with accounting and EDI when issues with releases and deliveries, etc.
  • Work with quality and audit depts on work procedures a couple times per year
