The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing material demand and executing monthly S&OP planning cycles to build accurate, executable production schedules for LWL/CP machines. This role partners closely with Operations, Product Group, Engineering, and Material Requirements teams to align production schedules with customer needs, demand requirements, and Decatur factory priorities.

Requirements

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Demonstrates the ability to complete work with precision by verifying outputs, learning from errors, and using tools such as checklists to ensure accuracy.
  • Cross‑Team Integration - Builds strong internal networks, shares relevant information, identifies cross‑team synergies, and applies best practices to support effective collaboration across functions.
  • Effective Communication - Communicates clearly with internal and external process partners
  • Forecasting - Understands foundational forecasting tools, sources, roles, and metrics used to estimate product demand and support planning activities.
  • Problem Solving - Applies structured problem‑solving techniques, follows escalation procedures, and uses standard methods to analyze and resolve issues within the work area.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience in the order to delivery space
  • IBP experience related to production planning
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot planned production scheduling issues; recommend improvements that optimize scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve product‑related issues and integrate customer, product group, and business requirements into production plans.
  • Balance supply, demand, and operational constraints to support factory performance and customer commitments.
  • Ability to follow a ridged timeline to ensure S&OP cycle is completed and communicated timely
