About The Position

What you’ll do You will own the day‑to‑day performance of your shift by leading from the production floor—planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities to safely deliver on quality, cost, and output targets. You’ll take accountability for building an engaged, capable team by coaching, developing, and holding operators to clear standards, while reinforcing Nutreco’s safety, quality, and 5S expectations. Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, you’ll set daily priorities, align staffing and schedules, monitor SQCDME KPIs, and proactively address issues as they arise. Through clear communication, hands‑on problem solving, and continuous improvement, you’ll ensure plans are executed effectively and results are achieved. You bring proven experience supervising production teams, the confidence to make day‑to‑day decisions, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational discipline. You know how to motivate, coach, and hold people accountable while fostering a positive, respectful team culture. Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, you communicate clearly, stay organized under pressure, and proactively solve problems as they arise. You’ll also need Hands‑on production leadership experience , with the ability to supervise, schedule, and coordinate teams of operators in a manufacturing or operations environment while meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. Strong people leadership and accountability skills , including coaching, training, performance management, and the confidence to address attendance, discipline, and safety issues fairly and consistently. Operational planning and execution capability , with experience prioritizing daily work, aligning staffing to production schedules, and coordinating with Maintenance, Production, and Supply Chain to minimize downtime. Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance , with a proven ability to enforce HSE standards, interpret specifications, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to plant policies and 5S standards. Problem‑solving, communication, and continuous improvement mindset , demonstrated through monitoring KPIs (SQCDME), leading structured problem‑solving efforts, and clearly communicating priorities and expectations across teams.
