About The Position

The Production Supervisor coordinates smooth and efficient card production directing and closely monitoring leads and employee’s workflow. They ensure the production process delivers high quality products in the most profitable manner.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts through the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ supervisory experience preferably in a production or inventory environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory principles and concepts.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, order processing and inventory.
  • Elementary English proficiency required.
  • Ability to be present in the facility and work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Hours are minimum 40 hours per week during company’s regular business hours however evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; ability to be available for all shifts required
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
  • Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; prolonged sitting and/or standing required (1-2 hours at a time); ability to move around the facility; climb ladders; crawl under/over; reach; bend; stoop; lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide daily direction to the Inventory Control Specialists to ensure efficient flow of materials to production, timely and accurate transactions, and proper space management.
  • Manage shift schedules and time-off requests to ensure full coverage at all times.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.
  • Conduct the cycle count process including, but not limited to, collecting, entering and analyzing daily inventory cycle count records.
  • Investigate and identify inventory discrepancies and reconcile variances to perpetual records by performing recounts, root cause analysis for errors and assist with actions to resolve inventory transaction issues reports.
  • Review processes; develop and implement process improvements.
  • Review material transactions, report errors and take corrective action.
  • Assist Demand Manager with projects related to the development of work instructions and process implementation designed to increase inventory accuracy.
  • Pull and Destroy Coordination: dispose of obsolete inventory per industry and company standards to optimize storage and inventory space.
  • Work closely with Vault Supervisor to develop and implement standard best practices for pulling to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Confer with other managers and/or supervisors to coordinate activities between departments.
  • Ensure all employees complete mandatory monthly training as scheduled.
  • Successfully complete required secure card verifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
