About The Position

Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift (Regulators). This position is located at our Waukesha, WI (Badger Dr) location. This role is located in Waukesha, WI facility. No relocation assistance will be provided. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: As a Production Supervisor, you will direct departmental activities and initiate/participate in cross-functional activities to accomplish the objectives of safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement, which focuses on removing cost from the business as well as meeting departmental metrics, goals, and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or completion of Eaton’s Front Line Leader Associate program
  • Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc.
  • Experience in an Engineered to order environment

Responsibilities

  • Drive Zero Incident Safety Culture
  • Align Eaton Quality System priorities to department requirements
  • Manage department operations and prioritize production requirements
  • Initiate and coordinate assistance as required from support departments
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed, countermeasures are implemented, and the area of responsibility is compliant with safety requirements.
  • Review daily in-process inventory reports to determine and assign priorities
  • Facilitate shift activity among other department supervisors. Assign daily work schedules for direct and indirect labor to meet business goals
  • Monitor and provide coaching follow-up for performance regarding safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions; create maintenance work orders to ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Maintain associate files, including attendance, OT equalization, vacation, training, and time-off requests.
  • Manage and adhere to department expense budgets.
  • Lead daily/weekly meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and interpret policy.
  • Provide training resources and support onboarding of new business partners.
  • Coordinate job bidding processes and verify candidate eligibility.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and achieve plant goals.
