Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift which includes start-up and handover meetings
  • Ability to work on your own and with a team
  • Strong communication skills both face to face and over the radio
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
  • Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
  • Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
  • Exposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferred
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
  • Forklift experience is preferred, but we are able to train new associates
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, and wrappers
  • Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
  • Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks
  • Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading raw materials
  • Interact with team members, quality assurance and maintenance to maximize output and efficiency
  • Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices are met
  • Work as a team to ensure no line stoppages and improve operations
  • Cross training to perform work on other lines or in other production areas as needed
  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials
  • Provide vacation coverage to team members as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
