For this position, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our injection molding team. The Mold Technician is responsible for installing, removing, and maintaining molds in our injection molding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime and ensuring that machines are set up correctly and safely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and capable of learning injection molding processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and setup sheets.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50lbs or more with assistance).
  • Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mold handling equipment is helpful but not necessarily a must.

Responsibilities

  • Safely install and remove molds from injection molding machines according to production schedules. This includes proper alignment and secure mounting of molds.
  • Inspect molds and machines for wear, damage, or defects and do basic troubleshooting before reporting issues to maintenance or tooling departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mold storage and work areas.
  • Collaborate with process technicians and quality control to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during mold changes and machine setups.
