BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8\:00am to 5\:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7\:00am or as late as 8\:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval. Requirements

  • 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
  • Knowledge of: BWC policies & procedures; (e.g., Medical & Health Symposium policies exhibitor guidelines, vendor qualifications) & standard operating procedures; event planning and production, contract negotiation, exhibit & tradeshow coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, and project management; budgeting, organizational principles & techniques, digital/social media marketing, public relations, written communication strategies.
  • Skills in: Event and/or conference design; meeting management, budget and financial reporting, contract administration, event management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to: define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; adapt to crisis situations, changing procedures, methods or processes; ability to prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines; independently manage multiple project demands or tasks, provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively - verbally, in writing & in team settings; ability to work with vendors and customers in a responsible, appropriate and service-oriented manner; show strong attention to detail, copy material accurately & recognize grammatical & spelling errors; maintain accurate reports; understand manuals & verbal instructions; prepare meaningful, concise & accurate records; establish friendly team atmosphere; develop & maintain rapport with internal & external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement Medical & Health Symposium policies and support the strategic expansion of the annual event.
  • Develop and assist with event planning, including onsite execution, and post event wrap-up.
  • Maintain website platform, using WYSIWIG tools, ensuring continuing education and legal requirements are met.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing strategies for program expansion, ensuring enhanced content delivery, and research based.
