This position will serve as the State Opioid Project Coordinator for the S.O.R. grant, a $53 million SAMHSA initiative designed to increase and expand access to treatment and recovery support, advance substance use prevention in coordination with other federal efforts, and improve retention in care using a chronic care model. This initiative will also help to deliver evidence-based treatment interventions that include medications that are FDA-approved specifically for OUD and psychosocial interventions, design primary and secondary prevention methods, and place greater emphasis on peer and other recovery support. The Program Administrator, under the direction of the Project Director of SOR, will be responsible for oversight of state and federal initiatives related to addressing the opioid crisis to ensure coordination among the various funding streams. This position will be involved in senior-level planning, management, and monitoring of opioid related activities. The Program Administrator will also assist the Project Director with ensuring the completion of all grant deliverables, monitoring and reporting on jurisdictional adherence with required performance measures, including evidence-based practices (EBP), and responding to complaints or concerns related to the project. The Program Administrator will be responsible for fiscal and administrative management, analyzing program data and working collaboratively with jurisdictional implementation teams and other state and local stakeholders to effectively utilize project resources and to maintain an integrated service delivery system, promote public health, sustained recovery and safety for service recipients, families, and communities.
