About The Position

Stafford House Study Holiday Program (SHSH) is part of CATS Global Schools (CGS) one of the leading providers of pre-university academic courses and English language courses hosting international students aged 12-18. The program is designed to provide short-term language courses with evenly balanced academics, social activities, sports and excursions in a safe, well-managed environment. Each year, Stafford House opens ‘pop-up’ schools in multiple locations across the US and UK. These schools focus on offering an all-inclusive language and cultural experience for juniors students (ages 10-18). In addition to daily ESL classes, Study Holidays students participate in a robust activities program that allows them to practice their English through sports and other social activities on campus as well as regular excursions to popular cultural & historical attractions within the New England area. In order to ensure that our students have an exciting, inspiring & safe experience, staff members will collaborate in the following areas: • Academics • Activities • Housing & Meals • Transportation • Student Welfare (health, safety, supervision, support) Program Assistants/Floaters wear many hats, including tour guide, chaperone & language mentor. They are responsible for ensuring that activities are both fun and safe for students. The dates of employment for this role are mid-June to early August 2026.

  • Flexibility - this role's duties will vary day to day - you must be willing to adapt to meet fill in where the greatest need is each day
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S (we are unable to provide sponsorship for visas)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in industry (ESL, Juniors Camps)
  • Strong communication skills in a language other than English
  • The ability to take on additional roles within the center, including teaching or residential supervision
  • Familiarity with the Boston/New England area

Responsibilities

  • Attend student excursions as extra supervisory support
  • Oversee the check-in and check-out procedures for newly arriving guests each weekend
  • Make beds, coordinate with cleaning, laundry, and maintenance services to ensure that rooms are clean & ready for the turnaround to newly arriving guests
  • Stay at the residence each night and be available to students in need of help (ex. lost keys, broken lamps, borrow cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Maintain constant correspondence with the housing coordinator (based in school) in order to communicate student issues or residence resource needs
  • Answer the student emergency phone during off-hours
  • Participate in on-site student activities, in order to promote school community
