Advanced Common Products (ACP) is seeking a Program Controls Senior Finance Manager to support its growing portfolio of mission-critical technologies within Naval Power onsite in Tucson, AZ (relocation offered). ACP encompasses a suite of high-tech electronic solutions—including Ultra, IsoBlock, and ACE—developed by Raytheon and deployed across multiple missile variants within the business. These technologies are essential to program success and play a vital role in delivering top-tier defense capabilities to our warfighter. The program’s current primary focus is Ultra, an electronic unit that is completing development and transitioning into Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP). The Senior Manager role offers a unique opportunity to work within a cross-functional team to support cost and schedule execution while collaborating with multiple programs that utilize ACP products. This high-visibility position provides significant growth opportunities on a program with multiple funding sources, including Capital, IR&D, and prime contract program funding. With strong demand from our DoD customer, the role will provide critical guidance on capacity investments, unit cost estimates, proposal development, and cost and schedule management. In addition, the ACP Business Manager drives continuous process improvement by developing, recommending, and deploying best practices and strategies that align sound business principles across ACP while addressing the varying financial reporting requirements of receiving programs. This role is instrumental in fostering confidence, accountability, and dependability across all stakeholders. The position works closely with a core Integrated Program Team, including the Program Management Office, Engineering, Operations, Material Program Management, Quality, Pricing, and cross-functional teams from the receiving programs. Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant finance experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ of finance experience
  • Past program, project, or personnel management experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel (Analysis for Office, advanced formulas, advanced modeling)
  • Experience with program cost schedule and control
  • Experience in SAP (or PRISM), APEX, and/or Business Warehouse
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) and present to senior leadership
  • Conduct material assessments in PRISM / SAP to ensure accurate loading of demand and appropriate allocation
  • Prepare and submit inventory Acquisition Requests (ARs) to support funding requests and manage financial execution upon approval
  • Achieve critical deadlines with quality results and perform as a solutions-oriented team member in support of the objectives and initiatives of the business.
  • Top candidates will provide the organizations they support with timely and thorough quantitative analysis that supports business, program, and project decision making.
  • Perform weekly / monthly analysis of program cost and schedule performance, identifying trends, and providing information to Leadership Team (LT) or corrective action implementation.
  • Continue to mature the financial model and proposal process.
  • Accommodate ad hoc critical and urgent requests, including support of briefs with Raytheon and customer leadership.
