Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) with major course work in Education, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
Two years of full-time, wage-earning experience in information technology, systems analysis, computer technology, education, criminal justice, information management systems or research.
Each year of experience in excess of the required two years may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year for year basis.
Proficiency in computer skills and operations in multiple software programs
Knowledge of school district organization, operations, policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
Ability to analyze and interpret data.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
This position requires moderate travel including overnight stays.
Nice To Haves
Experience with multiple software applications such as word processors, spreadsheets and database managers preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist with developing an integrated systems approach to logical descriptions of data, assist with identifying potential problems with data structures, and assist with developing solutions to data collection and/or reporting.
Assist IT with development of tables, links, and interfaces that provide optimal information retrieval, integration and storage.
Assist all levels of district personnel with disaggregating of data as required.
Assist in the development of internal and external documents.
Assist in the development of district evaluation processes.
Collect, analyze, evaluate and recommend data structures and data formats based on user and district needs.
Maintain logical and thorough records regarding reports, data requests, and documents.
Work with respective external agencies and entities to coordinate effective data exchange procedures as needed.
Assist with special projects, research and training as needed.
Assist in the development of publishable documents such as the Annual Performance Report and Campus Profiles.
Participate in Windham School District planning activities as appropriate.
Assist with the Correctional Education Association (CEA) and American Correctional Association (ACA) audit process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work assignment.
Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
