A Day in the Life The Program Director, Director Development is a senior leader within the Global Learning and Leadership Development Center of Excellence (CoE). This role stewards the Director development portfolio—setting strategic direction, guiding priorities across programs, and ensuring measurable business impact. Partnering with senior Directors, business leaders, HRBPs, and Talent Management, the Program Director ensures programs are fully integrated into the talent lifecycle and aligned to enterprise strategy. In addition, this leader drives governance, budget stewardship, and innovation to scale Director development globally. This role requires a leader who thrives in ambiguity, balances innovation and operational excellence, and brings disciplined problem-solving to complex, high-stakes work informed by enterprise context. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in leadership development, Director development, or related field.
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering leadership or development programs for directors.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and advising senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams of program managers.
  • Experience working with external partners, vendors, or business schools to deliver Director learning solutions.
  • Strong understanding of measurement and evaluation frameworks for leadership development programs.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to interact credibly with senior leaders and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Director Development portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and talent priorities.
  • Lead and develop Program Managers by setting clear expectations, delegating strategic and operational ownership of individual programs, and holding teams accountable for driving meaningful change and continuous improvement.
  • Operate within a governance framework to intake requests, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources.
  • Interpret enterprise-level priorities, messaging, and strategy and translate them into clear implications for Director development, ensuring programs equip leaders to lead effectively in the current and future context.
  • Manage governance boards and portfolio reviews, ensuring accountability, transparency, and compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Directors, HRBPs, and business leaders on leadership development.
  • Define and oversee evaluation frameworks to measure adoption, promotion, retention, readiness, and business impact.
  • Translate data and outcomes into clear, compelling narratives that inform decisions, demonstrate impact, and guide continuous improvement.
  • Own program budgets, forecast needs, and align spend with strategic and enterprise goals.
  • Navigate a high-volume, high-complexity portfolio with strong prioritization, proactive planning, and disciplined time management to ensure high-quality outcomes through well-planned execution.
  • Balance global resources and capacity across portfolios to ensure scalable delivery.
  • Stay ahead of global trends in Director development and continuously evolve the portfolio by integrating new technologies, modalities, and approaches aligned to business needs.
  • Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion across all initiatives, ensuring programs are representative and globally relevant.
  • Partner with external vendors, universities, and thought leaders to bring cutting-edge practices into the portfolio.
  • Partner with the Enablement teams to champion the ADDIE model and manage the program teams
