About The Position

As a Program Director, you’ll lead our KIPP DC before & after school and summer camp programs — creating safe, enriching experiences for youth and supporting a team of 15–20 staff members. Your leadership will help ensure every child is supported and every family feels welcome.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in youth development, education, or recreation
• Proven ability to lead and implement successful programs for elementary and middle school age children
• Bachelor’s degree or 15+ semester hours in child development
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Budgeting and DC OSSE licensing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of youth programs at your site
• Lead, coach, and support youth development staff
• Build engaging, high-quality programming that supports kids’ growth and well-being
• Ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards
• Support special events, partnerships, and community outreach
