About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Program Manager to join our San Francisco Bay area Project Management team, and support the delivery of capital projects across a range of sectors, including commercial real estate, corporate interiors, healthcare, and data centers. This role involves hands-on project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and process support, working closely with senior team members and client representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is a plus and may substitute for some experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting capital projects, ideally across sectors such as commercial real estate, healthcare, or data centers.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and performance tracking, with hands-on experience using project management tools.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with design and construction teams, either in the field or in a project coordination role, with exposure to all phases of project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, procurement processes, and standard contract forms (e.g., AIA, FIDIC, or similar), with the ability to support contract administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Professional certifications such as CAPM, OSHA 30, or LEED Green Associate are beneficial and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of capital projects across commercial real estate, healthcare, and data center sectors, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, while tracking progress and identifying potential risks or delays.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of project tasks and milestones.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress, assess quality and safety compliance, and support issue resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout materials.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client-facing reports and presentations, summarizing project status, risks, and key decisions.
  • Support project governance processes, including stage gate reviews, stakeholder updates, and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of best practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and project managers to ensure consistent delivery standards and client satisfaction.
