About The Position

This opportunity resides in BlackSeas’ Subsea Systems, a business area inside of BlackSeas’ Mission Systems Division. Subsea Systems is a rapidly growing segment compromising manned and unmanned submersible systems, auxiliary support systems for USN and Allied submarines and contested logistics. We are looking for a program manager who can strategically while controlling a wide assortment of resources.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance – TOP SECRET preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, business administration, or other relevant fields.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the government defense industry.
  • Experience with USN submarine programs.
  • Program management experience managing Federal Government programs
  • Proven history of successful, progressive, managerial responsibilities
  • Experience working with and briefing Senior Executives
  • Experience managing a team of diverse skill sets and experience levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN (Please do not apply if you are not)

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or other recognized Program Management certification
  • Experience with manned and unmanned submersibles
  • Program management experience demonstrating the ability to collaborate and deliver contractual services in a high op-tempo environment
  • Coordinating between multi-disciplined functions of internal and external organizations.

Responsibilities

  • The oversight of all administrative functions, planning, organization, and control of resources to complete all deliverables and services of the program.
  • Manage and monitor the cost, schedule, technical performance, staffing, materials, security, deliverables, quality, and metric objectives and milestones of the contract.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to gather information, define complex work problems, and will be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and completion of all tasks and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate, collaborate and effectively communicate with the Government Program Office regarding potential problems, issues, and, or risk that may adversely affect the completion of task activities and deliverables.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain task performance metrics to measure the execution of all businesses and operational activities.
  • Provide inputs to bi-weekly program reviews.
  • Submit monthly status reports and requested ad hoc reports.
  • Remain knowledgeable in the customer mission areas, applications/ solution development, network properties, Government policy and standards, and emerging hardware/software products in compliance with the Navy's/DoD standards and policies.
  • Create a motivating environment; resolving conflicts quickly and professionally.
