As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. Our mission is to inspire and empower Google Global Infrastructure (GGI) to effectively deliver solutions that delight our customers. StratOps Integration is GGI's operational mission control. The team works to facilitate all key run-the-business exercises centrally. Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the trade-offs. Using your project and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various sizes and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the directions of your programs. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with annual planning, budgeting, or forecasting.
  • Experience with analysis or data visualization.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with telecommunications fiber, space/power, or capacity infrastructure.
  • Experience with fiber network deployments, including constructing new outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Understand partner team dependencies, and constraints, that impact the business by engaging early and often, collaborating on process improvements and communication.
  • Run planning operations and modeling for GGI.
  • Program manage the delivery from inception through delivery.
  • Lead google-wide strategic network initiatives from concept to plan definition and hand-off to execution teams by refining large-scale ambiguous projects to well defined problems, processes, and solutions.
