About The Position

The Program Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex aerospace and defense programs supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). This role ensures accurate schedule planning, risk identification, and program execution alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of scheduling or program planning experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as:
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis, schedule logic, and schedule health metrics.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with DCMA 14-Point Schedule Assessment.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-881 Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Experience supporting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR).
  • Certification such as:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)
  • EVP (Earned Value Professional)
  • Experience with ERP or program management tools used in aerospace/defense environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex aerospace and defense programs.
  • Collaborate with program managers, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to define schedule logic, dependencies, milestones, and resource constraints.
  • Ensure schedules align with program baselines, contract requirements, and Earned Value Management (EVM) standards.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and what-if scenario analysis.
  • Track program progress and update schedules based on actual performance and project changes.
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities and communicate impacts to program leadership.
  • Prepare and present schedule status reports, metrics, and forecasts to program stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and other program reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, DCMA, and industry scheduling best practices.
  • Maintain schedule quality including logic integrity, constraints management, and milestone tracking.
  • Support proposal efforts by assisting with schedule development for new business opportunities.
