About The Position

Overview This position is a three (3) month assignment. About CWS Imagine waking up every morning with the chance to change someone's life. Purpose This role would support with targeted compliance review for the Matching Grant Program as well as benefits administration support for the Ms. L program. Requires travel to affiliate partner locations. Spanish language fluency required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience with immigrant, refugee or other newcomer populations required;
  • Strong understanding of especially vulnerable refugees’ mental health needs required;
  • Past experience providing in-person and virtual training required;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to manage a large and diverse workload under pressure and with competing priorities;
  • Ability to maintain a high performance standard with attention to detail;
  • Experience in general office work, processing information and materials and maintaining records and files
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively with partners and teams;
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, with varying experience and knowledge;
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times to represent the professional and institutional interests of CWS;
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and database software is essential;
  • Strong writing skills;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment required;

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Ability to maintain secure and appropriate personal work environment for day-to-day work.
  • Access to strong and reliable internet access.
  • Ability to adhere to CWS data security policies and protect sensitive and personally identifiable information.
  • Regular work hours must span core business hours 10AM-4PM Eastern time.
  • Must use CWS provided equipment such as laptop and cell phone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a local resettlement affiliate or a national office of a resettlement agency a plus; local resettlement affiliate experience strongly preferred;

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead monitor for onsite and virtual Matching Grant case file review to ensure financial compliance with the MG program guidelines.
  • Coordinate with HQ MG team, CWS Program Quality Control unit and local site for onsite monitoring visit.
  • Develop analysis of findings of financial review to inform ongoing monitoring needs and oversee development of corrective action plan.
  • Draft monitoring report of MG financial file review in coordination with HQ MG and Program Quality Control teams.
  • Support Ms. L program client assessment for need for rental assistance and maintain detailed case file compliance.
  • Coordinate requests for rental assistance in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Support other special projects as requested.
