About The Position

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Complete assigned reporting, information management, quality improvement, and training functions as well as assist with the assigned billing within Goodwill’s Developmental Disability Services department, ensuring that funding and regulatory system requirements are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Note: Qualified persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Reasonable accommodations will be made.) 1. Collect and ensure accurate data essential to effective and efficient service delivery through ongoing contact with and monitoring of department staff. 2. Ensure that accurate data, including updates (insurance, authorization, and client information), is entered into the department’s data management systems to complete billing and reporting requirements. 3. Effectively communicate with managers, staff, providers, and service coordination regarding data, questions, and/or corrections needed. 4. Assist the accounting department with billing invoices and reports, as assigned, ensuring deadlines are met. 5. Complete the following on-site at base location as well as off-site locations a. Conduct onboarding practices and staff training upon hire according to the DDS Mentorship Program as well as conduct competency evaluations of staff carrying out items as assigned. b. Act as an ongoing resource to staff in supporting individuals in services with their habilitation, interventions, emergency services, and other items assigned as a Mandt instructor. c. Coordinate meetings, interviews, monitoring activities, and training as needed to complete quality assurance and quality improvement activities, including internal investigations. 6. Assist with department specific quality assurance and quality improvement activities, including preparing and submitting reports to meet funding and regulatory requirements, preparing for internal and external audits, and completing and overseeing internal investigations as assigned. 7. Assist with ensuring department knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards, certification requirements, contracting requirements, required government regulations, and Goodwill policy and procedure. 8. Provide back-up support for the vacant positions as needed. 9. Punctual and consistent attendance and appearance requirements per Goodwill policies. 10. Perform work activities in conformance to Goodwill values, immediately report any wrongdoing (unethical/improper conduct, fraud, fiscal ismanagement, etc.), embrace and support diversity, and encourage and support others to do the same. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required with a minimum of three years practical experience in human service delivery preferred.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of Mandt trainer certification as assigned.
  • Proficiency in word processing techniques, experience in designing and formatting reports and forms, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Excellent writing skills required.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license issued in the State of Nebraska and meet insurance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate in spoken conversation, adequate volume speech, and have normal hearing for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
  • Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations; to move safely about the work area.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision within normal range.
  • Physical stamina to work at least eight (8) hours per day and be able to travel to conferences, meetings, service settings, etc.
  • Physical ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks necessary for ensuring the safety of self and others through CPR, MANDT, and other training techniques as assigned.
